Piers Edsall from Environmental Arts is offering a unique opportunity for you to learn how to become a blacksmith and forge your very own accessory- choose from a unique bottle opener or a spiral pendant/keychain.
This hands-on lesson offers a unique opportunity to connect with a timeless craft and create a tangible piece of handcrafted artistry.

Full tuition will be give by Piers from Environmental Arts.


When and where are the workshops:
As part of the Yorkshire Craft Festival, these workshops will take place daily between 7th-12th April 2026 in the “Blacksmithing pop up marquee” outside M&S on Parliament Street in the heart of York.
The workshops will be split into:
Children’s Workshops (8 yrs + but must be accompanied by an adult):
7th- 12th April at the following time; 9.30am, 10am,10,30am, 11.45am, 12.15pm & 12.45pm
(all timings are approximate)
Adult Workshops:
7th – 12th April at the following time; 2.15pm, 2.45pm, 3.15pm & 3.45pm
(all timings are approximate)
Duration:
The Blacksmithing workshop will last approx. 30 minutes. You will come away with a finished product to take home.
Costs:
Children’s Workshops: £15.00
Adult Workshops: £20.00
Capacity:
The workshop is suitable for 2 people at a time.
