Stained Glass Running Hare on Wood

It wasn’t until I moved to East Yorkshire that I saw my first hare in a field of wheat. And, although I now see them regularly when out walking the dog, the excitement of spotting one never ceases!

My running hare is made using copper foil stained glass technique. I have chosen a very streaky and textured chestnut coloured glass. The streaky glass adds movement and interest to the piece. Every hare is slightly unique due to this glass. A glass eye is used to give real character and finish the hare perfectly!
