Jemma Rigby, owner of Riverbend flowers has been creating beautiful floral art for over 10 years. Using seasonal plants and flowers her creations have decorated a wide range of homes and occasions, around the Yorkshire area and afar.
Jemma will be offering workshops for those that want to come and create their own unique floral creation at the Yorkshire Crafts Festival due to take place on Parliament Street in York between
17th -21st April 2024
If you’ve always fancied learning the basics of floral design and would like to try your hand at creating a dried flower wreath – let your skills blossom with this floristry workshop for beginners. Even if you’re not that creative it’s a great way to relax, try something new.
With these flower workshops, you can expect lots of flowers, fun, cool new tips, and a chance to let
your design eye run wild. You’ll learn all the tips and tricks for creating and designing gorgeous floral
displays, ranging from classic to modern flower arrangements and fresh to dried flower
arrangements. There will be plenty of on-hand help to encourage your skills to bloom and
opportunities to ask your local florist any questions you might have.
What’s on Offer?
Wreath Making Workshop
Create your own wreath using season foliage and flowers. You will go home with your own unique creation ably assisted by Jemma in this fun and interactive 2 hour workshop.
When and where are the workshops:
The workshops will take place in the “Floristry pop up marquee” outside M&S on Parliament Street in the heart of York. The workshops will take place at 10.30am until 12.30am on each of the following days:

Saturday 20th April 2024
Duration:
The wreath making workshop will last approx. 2 hours.
Costs:
The wreath making workshop will be £40 per workshop. This incudes all materials and you will be able to take away your completed wreath ready to adorn your door (inside or outside)!
Capacity:
The wreath making workshop is suitable for up to 6 people at a time.
